The whole-league cash purse is approximately $28/player. The rest of the money that we collect each season is spent as follows:
$10/player – is reserved to cover food, drink, free pinball, and other expenses for the FSPA-wide party at the end of each season. All players who complete a league season are invited to join this party at no extra cost!
$1/player – is used to pay the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) to register the league to earn World Pinball Player Ranking (WPPR) points. All players who complete the season will earn WPPRs, based on your final division standing at the end of the regular season.
$1/player – goes to general FSPA-wide expenses, including our annual pinball machine GIVEAWAY, operating our web site, etc.
~$2/player – pays for playoff games for the ~50% of players who qualify for the playoffs. This is usually drawn from the kitty money so it doesn’t directly come from dues.
When there is a large number of players in a given season, the amount per player tends to go up because more people are contributing to the kitty.
